What date do the 2021 Thanksgiving Packages begin? Can I extend my stay?

The packages for 2021 start on Monday, November 22, 2021.

We are planning to stay through the weekend. Can we extend our stay?

Based on availability, you are welcome to stay at the hotel beyond the parade date (for the 2021 parade only)

Where can I see the balloons being inflated?

Based on the changes in New York State and City gathering restrictions, we will provide more real time information as we get closer to Thanksgiving.

In the past, balloon inflation celebration is typically open to the public from 3pm to 10pm on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

The location is near the American Museum of Natural History, between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue, between 77th and 81st street.

What festivities will be going on at the hotel week of the parade?

The New York Hilton Midtown team likes to keep the hotel in the spirit of the holiday season! Every year we host fun, family festivities for our guests to enjoy. Some of our past activations include entertainment such as Christmas Carolers, holiday decorations, a latte artist, face painters, balloon artists, caricature artists, complimentary chair massages, ginger bread house display’s and more.

More information to come on specific events as we draw close to your arrival.

What time can we check-in and check-out of the hotel?

Hotel check in time is 3pm.

Kindly do inform us of the time you plan to arrive; you can indicate this in the comments section when booking your reservation. We will certainly try to prioritize all early arrivals.

Check out time is 12pm.

Please do inform us if you have a late check out request; you can indicate this in the comments section when booking your reservation. We will try our best to accommodate late check out requests.

Do parade view rooms come with street viewing access?

Street viewing of the Macy’s Day Parade is on a first come first serve basis.

Typically spectators begin to assemble on 6th Avenue to view the parade around 7am – 8am however some will wait as early at 5am-6am.

Please Note: NY Police Department can dictate other parameters to ensure the safety of all spectators and there is no guarantee based on gathering restrictions that this will be allowed.

What time does the parade pass by the hotel?

Typically the parade passes the hotel around 9:00am-9:30am

What is the cancellation policy for the Parade View Rooms?

Thanksgiving Parade View Rooms are non-cancellable and the 2 night deposits are non-refundable.

Due to the changing nature of travel, including restrictions, we will ensure to adhere to local NYC and CDC guidelines that may impact the viewing of the parade and will action accordingly.

Are there Parade View Suites available under the Parade Room packages?

Our available suites are located on the 42nd and 43rd floors. The parade is not viewable from those floors. The balloons typically float around 10-15 feet depending on weather conditions

Will the hotel be offering Thanksgiving Brunch?
